The beat upon beat in the song mesmerized her, it over stimulated her brain and now she can’t sleep. There was a drag of a phrase in the song and that healed her hurting heart. The song was about to end. She couldn’t bear the silence after the music. So, she swiftly skipped to the next song on the playlist. She listens carefully to the Hindi word for a mad person being repeated by the playback singer. She fixates on it as the singer also does the same. Somehow, the major lyrics and the banter of the duet gets sidetracked.
She feels clever writing about it all. The music that ends feels like a sour candy melting in her mouth and one wanting to click their tongue as a natural bodily urge.
If you are an Indian human, you must have come across your grandmother click her tongue when she savored a pickle, tamarind candy or anything exceptionally tangy.
And if you were a joyful kid, you would have grinned and imitated her quirky musical gesture.
I wonder when the white men came here ruled us for over two centuries, did they also click their tongues while savoring tangy stuff. Or they must have felt that to be a burden.

Well, we don’t care anymore. She’s still enjoying the next track that’s about to be played, you know what I mean?
Because she’s immersed in enjoying the tanginess of a Clementine- the music has to gel with the flavor on the tongue.
Clementine Cleverness.
